I usually don't eat out during the week, but today, a co-worker asked me to dinner and we went to 부대찌개- #budae #jigae.
It means "sausage soup". It is quite a special meal to eat because after the Korean war, Korea was scarce for food. Some people made use of surplus foods from the US military bases. They would use hot dogs, span or ham and incorporate it into traditional spicy soup with gochujang (red chilli paste) and #
kimchi.
Modern day budae jigae, we add noodles, mandu, and sometimes pork or beef. The choice is really up to you.
Here is a clip of what I ate tonight! #YUM!
